Food purchasing: a free webinar on 16 October in Morocco
An online session for buyers, event organisers and catering professionals.
How can a canteen or reception choose food with its origin and production methods in mind? A free webinar on sustainable food and short supply chains is scheduled for Friday 16 October 2026, from 10 am to 11.30 am, Morocco time. IAV Hassan II outlines the arrangements in its announcement dated 3 October.
The session is online and requires registration. It is aimed at purchasing, logistics, events and catering managers, as well as caterers. The announced programme includes a quiz, professionals’ experiences and tools for incorporating local, seasonal and agroecological criteria.
The event is part of Al Ard Al Khadraa, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Agency for Water and Forests, with European Union support. It addresses organisations’ food orders, from reception buffets to canteens, rather than individual nutritional advice.
To prepare for the discussion, participants can start with an actual order: which products are bought, in what season, and what information does the supplier provide about their origin? The announcement promises practical tools but does not yet publish measured savings or emissions outcomes. Registration is available through IAV’s page devoted to the webinar.
