Rabat is hosting executive training on cybersecurity governance in Africa from 5 to 8 October 2026. The official Smart Africa Digital Academy (SADA) course page, consulted on 6 October, describes an in-person programme in English for technical leaders at director level.

The intended participants include national cybersecurity authorities, computer incident response teams and chief information security officers. The Smart Africa Secretariat is organising the programme with the World Bank under the WARDIP regional digital integration programme.

Sessions cover policy and regulatory frameworks, risk-informed public decision-making, protection of critical infrastructure and coordination of incident response. The central issue is how institutions organise their response when digital services come under threat.

For Morocco, the meeting places Rabat at the centre of an exchange among African officials on digital resilience. The stated objectives concern designing and coordinating security policies; their achievement will need to be assessed after the training.
