OPEC+: seven countries keep oil production targets for November

The decision announced on 4 October concerns production targets. It does not set fuel prices at the pump.

Seven OPEC+ countries decided to retain September production targets for November, according to OPEC’s statement of 4 October 2026. Algeria is among the participants.

The announcement concerns the amount of oil to be produced. A target differs from the volumes actually extracted: assessing compliance requires a later comparison with production data.

For motorists and businesses in Morocco, the decision cannot be used to calculate a new fuel price. Oil prices, refining, exchange rates, transport and taxation all play a role between production policy and a local price. The statement announces no Moroccan fuel price.

OPEC says the next meeting is scheduled for 1 November. Following the consequences requires distinguishing announced targets, actual production and observed prices. The editorial team makes no forecast of a rise or fall here.
