Ouazane included in the Guardian’s Next Generation selection
The selection draws attention to the young Ajax player.
Abdellah Ouazane appears in the Guardian’s Next Generation 2026 selection, published on 6 October. The newspaper chooses sixty players born in 2009.
UEFA confirms his Ajax club, midfield position and birth date of 15 January 2009. He is therefore 17.
This selection reflects journalists’ assessment of promising talent. It is neither an official federation ranking nor a guarantee of a successful career.
Playing time, development and consistency will matter more in assessing his progress than flattering comparisons. Sources: the original Guardian selection and UEFA profile, checked on 8 October.
