Ten judges were elected to represent their colleagues on Morocco’s Higher Council of the Judicial Power in the 17 October 2026 ballot. AlYaoum24 reported the results on 18 October, citing a Council statement.

Four seats went to representatives of appeal court judges and six to representatives of judges in first-instance courts. This breakdown concerns the members elected by their peers, rather than the Council’s entire membership.

The reported turnout was 94.9%. According to the account, voting ran from 9am to 6pm at 24 polling stations across appeal court districts.

The results were announced after voting records had been received and consolidated centrally. The ballot concerns judges’ professional representation; its outcome alone does not measure changes in how courts operate.
