Household confidence falls over the quarter but rises year on year
Morocco’s HCP puts the index at 59.2 points in the third quarter of 2026. The comparison period changes the picture.

Moroccan household confidence stood at 59.2 points in the third quarter of 2026, according to results published on 15 October by the High Commission for Planning (HCP). The index was 60.1 points in the second quarter and 53.6 points in the third quarter of 2025.
That amounts to a quarterly decline of 0.9 points. The annual difference remains positive at 5.6 points. These changes are calculated from the levels published by the HCP and are expressed in points, not percentages.
The choice of period changes how the result reads: the annual improvement coexists with a decline from the previous quarter. Describing it simply as a rise or fall would obscure that distinction.
Drawn from the ongoing household economic conditions survey, the indicator tracks confidence. A level of 59.2 points does not mean that 59.2% of households are satisfied, nor does it directly measure a change in income or prices.
