JFC I: the KAES and OCP Nutricrops project remains a notified transaction
The Competition Council’s statement concerns a proposed 50% acquisition. Publication does not amount to approval or confirmation of a completed deal.

The Competition Council published notification of a project concerning Jorf Fertilizers Company I, known as JFC I, on 8 October 2026. KAES Phosphate Holdings, controlled by Koch, proposes to acquire 50% of its capital and voting rights to exercise joint control alongside OCP Nutricrops.
The parties’ summary describes JFC I as wholly owned by OCP Nutricrops before this transaction. Its activities include phosphoric acid, phosphate fertilisers and sulphuric acid. The scope described concerns this company, not an acquisition of half of the OCP group.
The Council states that the notifying parties are responsible for the information in the summary. It also says publication does not attest to the completeness of the filing. Readers should therefore distinguish the project’s existence, its examination and any subsequent decision.
This case sheds light on a proposed development in the industrial partnership. This article establishes neither a transaction price nor future production results. Assessing its significance will require following decisions actually published and announced completion conditions.
