Marrakech Comedy Festival: a June gala reaches screens on 16 October

Disney+ announces the release of Marrakech Comedy Festival, hosted by Malik Bentalha, on 16 October 2026. Its statement of 6 October says the gala was recorded in June at Marrakech’s Palais des Congrès. The October date therefore refers to its screen release.

The recording gives a stage evening a second life. Viewers can discover it after the event, in a format shaped by the director. A recorded programme cannot reproduce the entire experience of the audience in the hall.

For Marrakech, the cultural interest lies in this transition from performance venue to audiovisual production location. It would nevertheless be premature to infer increased tourism or economic benefits: no such results are documented here.

The announcement consulted comes from Disney France. Readers abroad will need to check availability in their own catalogue. This article reports an announced release without reviewing a show the newsroom has not watched.
