The Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma regional council plans 3.75 million dirhams for operating and equipping six addiction care centres. Assahifa reports MAP’s information on 10 October 2026: the renewable agreement covers 2027 to 2029.
The announced allocations in Tanger are 1,365,000 dirhams for the Hassnouna psychiatric centre, 378,000 for Bir Chifa, 561,000 for Hay Jadid and 255,000 for Mghogha. The social hub centres in Tétouan and Chefchaouen are allocated 741,000 and 450,000 dirhams respectively. The six amounts add up to 3,750,000 dirhams over three years.
The agreement involves the regional council, the wilaya, the territorial health grouping and Hassnouna association supporting people who use drugs. According to the report, the association implements it and the health grouping supervises and evaluates. Funding is intended for equipment, repairs, staff and essential reception supplies.
A monitoring committee is to meet twice yearly and when needed. The issue to follow is whether allocations become accessible, continuous services. The announced amount is neither an annual 3.75 million grant nor proof of payment or medical outcomes. The original agreement has not been read directly; republications of the wire report are not independent confirmations.
