Near Fez: reports of a 4.1-tonne cannabis resin seizure

An operation near Fez reportedly led to the seizure of four tonnes and 100 kilograms of cannabis resin, according to police information carried by Hespress and Al Aoual on 10 October 2026. Three people were arrested; their individual responsibility remains to be established.

Both outlets place the intervention in the early hours of Saturday in a rural area near the city. They attribute it to Fez’s regional judicial police, working with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance.

The reports describe a truck carrying the seized consignment, alongside four marine engines and four inflatable boats. Their suspected use in international trafficking is among the matters being investigated; no specific destination is established here.

According to the same information, the three suspects are under judicial investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor. The seized quantity indicates the material scale of the reported operation, but does not establish links between those arrested or prove guilt.
