Futsal: RadioMars reports Chaaraoui replacing Dahani

Two days before the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, RadioMars reports a change to Morocco’s squad. Its article dated 10 October 2026 says Soufiane Chaaraoui replaces Anas Dahani, who is unavailable for health reasons.

Journalist Sara Moujahid says Dahani’s medical file was submitted to CAF, which reportedly approved the replacement. The report gives neither a diagnosis nor the expected duration of his absence; neither can be inferred from the announcement.

Chaaraoui had already trained with the reserves in Salé on 6 October, according to Maroc.ma. His presence provides context for the reported change, but does not independently confirm today’s announced decision.

For Hicham Dguig’s staff, a change so close to the tournament raises a question of continuity in preparation. Chaaraoui’s earlier involvement in the camp is relevant, but cannot predict his role in the rotations or the team’s results.
