Tarz at the Oudayas: seeing embroidery as creation

GERMA announces “Tarz” at the Oudayas in Rabat from 8 October 2026 to 31 January 2027.

La Métisse describes the project’s dialogue between Moroccan embroidery collections and contemporary creations. We present these references without claiming to have visited the exhibition.

Our reading: treating embroidery as an artwork invites attention beyond decoration alone. Composition, gestures and the maker’s choices deserve as much attention as the piece’s beauty. This approach gives craft a place within artistic debate.

The dates provide an initial reference for planning a visit. Labels and works can then prompt questions: who made each piece, in what context and with what intention? Such questions help explore transmission without reducing all embroidery to a single style.
