National Press Grand Prix: preparing an application

According to Le Brief and La Vérité, applications for the 24th National Press Grand Prix, for 2026, are open from 8 to 30 October.

For a journalist wishing to enter, the first step is to consult the current edition’s form and rules with the Communication Department. A timetable reported in the press helps with planning; it does not replace the file required by the organiser.

Our suggestion: gather the published version of the work, its release date and its references before preparing a submission. These are useful elements for documenting an application, without anticipating its eligibility or the jury’s decision.

Professional recognition also starts with being able to retrieve and verify a piece of work. Preparing a clear file is therefore an opportunity to review personal archiving. Awards do not remove the need for the daily verification that gives journalism its value.
