Hangyu Technology decided on 8 October 2026 to move a planned forging project from Slovakia to Tangier Tech. Its announcement 2026-065, reproduced on Stockstar, sets a maximum investment of €105 million. Hespress reported the decision on 9 October.

This changes the location of a future production base. The company says the Slovak project had not entered substantive construction and that the Moroccan project remains in preparation. Approval procedures have not been completed.

The distinction matters: a financial ceiling is not money already spent. Jobs or land areas envisaged for the Slovak proposal cannot automatically be assigned to Tangier either. They require confirmation for the new site.

The project’s industrial significance will become clearer through practical milestones: securing land, obtaining approvals and beginning construction. The board decision establishes a direction; it is not yet an operating factory. This reading allows progress to be followed without anticipating results.
