The Mohammed VI Investment Fund plans to take over Recipharm’s 10% stake in MARBIO, a Moroccan vaccine and biological products specialist. The Fund’s statement dated 6 October 2026 announces a framework agreement with the Kingdom of Morocco, BAB Consortium and Recipharm AB.

Signed on 21 September, the agreement sets out Recipharm’s withdrawal and the takeover of its stake, subject to the stipulated conditions and applicable regulatory approvals. The announcement therefore does not establish that the transfer has been completed. The statement does not disclose its price.

MARBIO operates an industrial platform in Benslimane that includes aseptic filling and vaccine packaging. These operations should not be confused with developing every active ingredient or announcing a new vaccine available to patients.

The Fund presents the transition as a way to continue industrial development of the project launched in 2021. The agreement provides arrangements intended to maintain operational continuity between Recipharm and MARBIO. That objective alone is not an independent measure of actual production volumes.
