# Moroccan aerospace: five billion in prospect, not yet in the accounts

Both publications describe a move towards more complex systems and greater local added value. They relay the same statement: their agreement does not constitute two independent assessments of the projection.

Our reading: a numerical target helps explain an industrial ambition, but is not an achieved result. Follow-up should compare that ambition with exports actually realised and activities that develop. The announced amount alone does not say how much value will stay in the country.

To understand the trajectory, it will therefore be useful to follow skills, suppliers and actual production without attributing future jobs or income to this projection today. That is the distinction between discussing a prospect and certifying its fulfilment.
