# Foreign investment: why net flows matter

Net flows reached 34.334 billion dirhams in eight months, according to the Foreign Exchange Office cited by Hespress.

Hespress reports that net foreign direct investment rose 65% through August 2026. Receipts grew 17% while outflows fell 33.9%.

Net flows are the difference between inflows and outflows. Either movement can influence the total. The figure alone does not establish an equivalent increase in jobs or new projects.
