The 18th Fez Festival of Sufi Culture and World Wisdoms opened at Bab Al Makina on 17 October 2026. La Vie éco, with MAP, reported the opening on 18 October. The festival continues until 24 October, dates also confirmed by its partner, the French Institute in Fez.

The opening evening featured the Harrâqî ensemble directed by Youssef El Houssaini, Nabyla Maan and Vicente Muñoz Gelo, according to the report. Their creation brought Arab-Andalusian heritage, Sufi singing and flamenco into dialogue.

Alongside concerts, the programme includes conferences, exhibitions and film screenings. Mystical poetry provides a common thread for encounters between Moroccan traditions and international artistic expression.

The festival is still under way: events announced for after 18 October have not yet taken place. Its language of healing belongs to an artistic and spiritual approach; it does not establish a medical effect.
